Artist Name - Audience Research

The original artist whose song this belongs to, is called Tove Lo. It is an unusual name and different just like the image the artist portrays of herself. For our character, we wanted to ensure that our name was quirky and exotic just like the original to make it stand out when in competition with other artists.

We have called our female solo artist - Mayla Lee. 
After deciding that we wanted it to be rather similar to the original, by using the main characters middle name and adding a second name gave the same impression the original did. We came to the conclusion that we liked this name because it was simplistic yet rather effective because of its uniqueness.

Mayla Lee can also be manipulated to fit any sort of personality and image that we desire to create for our main character.

Together, we also decided to ask the year 7 group at school what they thought of the name Mayla and what we could add on to make it sound like Tove Lo. After having the very excited year shout various names out at us, Lee seemed to stand out as one that would fit perfectly and they sounded quite fluent.
